Multi Level Marketing/Network Marketing – A Recipe For Success!

So what does it take to be successful with Multi Level Marketing/Network Marketing? This seems to be the big question and depending on who you speak to the answer can be very elusive. I think the reason for this is that most people that want to start their own Multi Level Marketing/Network Marketing business do not have a clear understanding of exactly what it really takes.

Now to be fair this is not entirely their fault. Most Multi Level Marketing/Network Marketing sponsors tell people it’s easy and all you have to do is go get a couple of people that get a couple of people and you are all set. What they do not tell you is that in most cases that is easier said than done. The simple fact is that to be successful with Multi Level Marketing/Network Marketing or any other business for that matter takes an incredible amount of hard work.

Multi Level Marketing/Network Marketing is not a get rich quick scheme. Unfortunately that is not what people want to hear and so even if they are told that is the case, many times they have no idea just how tough it can be to start your own Multi Level Marketing/Network Marketing business. Let’s face it, if it was that easy then everyone would be doing it. Now there are several things that you can do to dramatically increase the odds in your favor of success.

You Probably, Most Likely Will Not Make $10,000.00 Your First Month In Multi Level Marketing

Number 1 – Stop believing this nonsense! I do not care what business you are involved in, Multi Level Marketing/Network Marketing or otherwise, unless you have already been established elsewhere this is not going to happen. In fact, my experience tells me, if you are just average you will probably lose money you first few months, best case scenario. Now if you can show me any viable business that does not lose money in the beginning then please let me know. This is not only true of Multi Level Marketing/Network Marketing but any business, unless you are extremely lucky. I would rather deal with reality than luck. In addition, if you can show me a business where I will make $10,000.00 a month in my first year, without working my butt off then again please let me know. I will be there in a second. It simply does not happen. That does not mean you will not make money it just means that it takes time and money to make money. In fact you can make a ton of money with Multi Level Marketing/Network Marketing.

Number 2 – Please get the idea out of your head that you will not have to invest in your business. This is the most ridiculous thing in the world. I am not trying to be brash, it just seems like many people get involved with Multi Level Marketing/Network Marketing with the idea that they will not have to invest any money or time to grow there business. This is just not true. You can not start any business with out seed money and a lot of effort, so if you think you are going to start a business and be successful with it and not have to invest any money or time in it then you are kidding yourself. This is not unique to Multi Level Marketing/Network Marketing, this is a reality of starting your own business.

I used to own several “brick and mortar” businesses and my employees all thought I was made of money. The reason for this was they only saw the money coming in. They never saw what went out. Most people have been employees their whole working lives. I urge you, if you are going to be successful with Multi Level Marketing/ Network Marketing, to get this mentality out of your head. The owner never made the kind of money you thought he did!

This is not to say that working for yourself is not incredibly rewarding. It is. I am also not saying you can not make an incredible amount of money with Multi Level Marketing/Network Marketing. You can! All I am saying is that it takes a lot of hard work, dedication and money in the beginning before you see the fuits of your labor. You are not collecting a paycheck anymore just for showing up. You are starting your own Multi Level Marketing/Network Marketing business. It is perfectly fine if you want to get mad at me for saying this but I am really just trying to save you time and heartache if this is your thinking. The fact is that you will fail if you have these illusions about building your own business. Once you have fixed you, you can begin to find a Multi Level Marketing/Network Marketing company that will support your efforts and help you grow.

Number 3 – Start running in the opposite direction of people involved with Multi Level Marketing/Network Marketing that tell you that you will have to do nothing and your success is assured. Not true, not ever. Period! These types of people are trying to prey on your naivete and inexperience with starting a business from scratch. Having said that, they would not be able to play on your greed and desire for instant success if you will deal with reality. I am telling you these things so that you can avoid the mistakes I made, not to insult you. I believed people when they told me that I could virtually do next to nothing and succeed in Multi Level Marketing/Network Marketing and my result was a staggering failure. It was not until I was ready to deal with these harsh realities in myself that I started to see success. The Multi Level Marketing/Network Marketing business can be particularly harsh to this kind of thinking.

Okay So Now We Have Fixed Our Attitudes, How Do We Find A Multi Level Marketing/ Network Marketing Company That Will Honor This Commitment ? That’s The Million Dollar Question

Phew! I can only tell you what I know. There are many Multi Level Marketing/Network Marketing companies out there that have great products. Sadly having a great product is only one of the necessary qualities that you are going to need to be successful with Multi Level Marketing/Network Marketing.

This is just my opinion and experience but I like being involved with a Multi Level Marketing/ Network Marketing company that will provide for me as many customers and affiliates as I want. I do not want to go out and talk to my friends and family and have to direct every conversation to the topic of what I am doing to earn a living. I don’t know, some people are wired that way and if you are, I’m jealous. I just know for me, I need a little help building my business. It’s not that I can’t get a few people involved with my business, I can. I just don’t want to be forever recruiting ” cold prospects”. I would much rather spend a little money to buy my customers from a company that has already established them. Yeah, it cost me some money but I get to talk to people that already believe in the product and now I just need to show them how to make money with it.

The next thing I look at is, frankly, how much am I going to make and will it be worth it? I am not an altruist. I am a businessman and Multi Level Marketing/Network Marketing is just the vehicle that I use to conduct business. As such, if I was not going to get paid and paid very well for my efforts then I would do something else or pick a different Multi Level Marketing/Network Marketing company to do business with.

Multi Level Marketing/Network Marketing really can be a very rewarding business for anyone if they have the right approach and attitude. Conversely, Multi Level Marketing/Network Marketing is extremely unforgiving to those that do not take it seriously. If you are willing to put in the time, effort and financial commitment to your business then you will have success with Multi Level Marketing/Network Marketing or any business for that matter.
